Compounding
Our compounding pharmacists work with doctors and patients to assist in creating solutions to medication needs not met by commercially available products. Winfield Pharmacy uses a sterile room with a certified Laminar Flow Hood to compound medications. This ensures a safe, high quality product while protecting those who are creating the compounds.
Compounding medication allows us to offer unavailable and discontinued formulas. If a medication is only available in capsules or tablets, it can often be compounded in different forms that include:
- liquid
- topical
- inhalation
We can also compound medications into different strengths and flavors to accomodate the elderly, children, adults, and animals.
